Sparkle like Markle
The newest royal influencer steps out in style!
On 19th May, our very own Prince Harry is set to wed American actress Meghan Markle. Since they announced their engagement, Meghan has been welcomed into the collective embrace of the UK, and as a young, vibrant star, her style has become highly influential on the highstreet.
Here are some of her top looks that are definitely turning heads in highstreet fashion right now!
1. Self-Portrait @ The Invictus Games (Australia)
Meghan is usually known for her neutral fashion palette, but she stepped out for the Invictus Games in this beautiful jade-toned floral Self-Portrait dress with ruffle details and a pleated skirt. Fun and flirty ruffles are very much on trend this Spring/Summer, and they balance perfectly with the more conservative look of a pleated midi skirt!

2. Mackage @ Northern Ireland
Another green selection here, but this time matched perfectly with a beautiful double-face front drape wool coat by Mackage. It’s likely that we’ll see this coat silhouette returning to our rails this Autumn/Winter, and by pairing that billowing front with the slight fishtail of this Greta Constantine skirt, Meghan has achieved a flawless feminine look that is fun yet modest!

3. J Crew @ International Women’s Day
Meghan stepped out for International Women’s Day in this nautical inspired ensemble that was tastefully edited so as not to look costumey. Plain cigarette trousers, with a beautiful roll neck jumper were offset with the two tone J Crew coat in the traditional nautical navy and white style. This is an extremely fresh colour way, year in and year out reflecting Meghan’s vibrant approach to classical royal styles.

4. Casual wear @ The Invictus Games (Toronto)
Even royals dress down from time to time, and Meghan showed that she can be just as elegant in a pair of flats and ripped jeans!
Dressing grungy frayed jeans with a crisp cotton shirt and pointed flats elevates this look past your average dressed-down occasion to something a bit more special and sophisticated. We know that denim and cotton/linen is a huge trend this year, and we love the look of combining cool comfort with a touch of elegance!

5. Ralph & Russo @ Windsor
Flash back to Meghan and Harry’s engagement shoot, where Meghan wore this stunning Ralph & Russo couture dress with a sheer yoke and botanical embroidery. Luckily for us mere mortals, this dress retails at an estimated £56,000 so those looking to steal her style will have to scan our highstreet for matching styles. We already knew that floral and botanical embroidery would be a huge hit this Spring/Summer, but this photoshoot sealed the deal!
